Your First Gold Bar — How to Choose One in Prague?

Start small. A 1‑gram bar has an entry threshold from 2,500 Kč. You can add to your collection later.

For a first purchase, we recommend 1 g, 2 g, 5 g, or an ounce. This requires a modest budget (from 2,500 Kč), but you will already own physical gold.

Both options are reliable. However, for the first time we recommend visiting our store in Prague at Vladislavova 49/9, 110 00 Nové Město (location on the map) — you can personally inspect the bar, weigh it, and get advice from a manager.

Every bar has an assay mark, an individual serial number, and a certificate from the refinery (Valcambi, C. Hafner, Argor‑Heraeus). Upon collection at the store, we weigh the bar in front of you.

Short-term fluctuations always exist. But over a 5–10 year horizon, gold steadily rises — over the last 20 years, the price has increased 8–10 times. Thus, the value of your bar will grow over the years.

Smaller bars (1 g, 2 g, 5 g) and ounces are highly liquid. You can sell them at any major exchange office in the world or to another private investor.

Bars of 1 g, 2 g, and 1 ounce are very compact. They can be kept in a home safe or a bank safe deposit box. Minimum space — maximum value.
